ElectroSmart is a crowd-based measuring application for Android devices that reports your exposition to electromagnetic waves generated by connected devices such as Bluetooth devices, or communication infrastructures such as cellular antennas or Wi-Fi access points. ElectroSmart can help you find out how much you are exposed to each source of electromagnetic waves. We do not collect users’ identity or any personal data, but only the exposition to electromagnetic waves measured by their smartphone.
Unique Value Proposition
ElectroSmart is the only app that informs people for free about their exposure to electromagnetic waves. As the measurement is collected automatically, ElectroSmart can provide data on geolocalized exposure and connectivities everywhere.
Origin of the Project
At first, this was an Inria research project on the lack of transparency in microwaves exposure. However, when we succeeded in taking the measurement from a smartphone, the idea of the startup was born. Ravi joined the project in 2016 and David in 2017.
