Calling all students with an entrepreneurial mindset! Sophia Business Angels (SBA), an international group of business angels and a SKEMA Ventures partner, is organising its next Start Up Factory event on September 10 from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at Espaces Antipolis, Valbonne.

For many years, the Start Up Factory has been a central event in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Sophia Antipolis that brings together experienced and aspiring entrepreneurs and gives them a platform to pitch their project in front of an audience comprising business angels, bankers, risk-takers, incubators, coaches, mentors… Most of “born-in-Sophia Antipolis” success stories started there!

It is also an opportunity for coaches, mentors, financier, and field experts to discover a project they would be interested in supporting.

Event format

Every pitcher gets three minutes to pitch the project and dazzle the audience. The pitch has to be presented without any visual support. This year, a maximum of twelve pitchers will be selected for the main event. These projects will be provided with two hours of personalized pitch preparation training by SBA experts. At the end of the event, two winners will be announced who will receive personalized and free follow-up of 12 hours, spread over a period of three months, by members of Sophia Business Angels.

The experts will assist the project owners to strengthen and accelerate their project during its development phase and obtain short-term external financing.

Even if you do not plan to pitch your project or you are not yet a nascent entrepreneur, attending the Start Up Factory will be a unique experience.
