Do you have a project in any of the following areas: education, healthcare, environment, circular economy, inclusion, job creation, ageing…? EIB Institute is organising the Social Innovation Tournament to recognise, support and promote social entrepreneurs based in Europe working on innovative projects that “contribute to creating social, ethical or environmental impact.”
The project that wins the first prize will receive €50,000 and the one that comes second will receive €20,000. A jury of academic and industry specialists will evaluate the projects.
This year, the tournament is being held on October 8 in Lisbon, Portugal. The deadline for the submission of proposals is March 4 and the finalists will be announced on May 15. Apply at: http://bit.ly/2SZjFCZ
Tournament structure
There are two rounds in Social Innovation Tournament. First, a selection committee will select 15 projects for the final round. These entrepreneurs will receive customised training, including a mentoring boot camp, e-training on pitching, etc., to prepare for the final event. On October 8, the finalists have to “present and defend their project to a jury of social innovation specialists.”
This will be a great opportunity to boost the visibility of your social innovation startup/project and obtain support. Register ASAP!
